UK General Manager, Embargo (London)
Overview
Embargo is the UK’s leading plug-and-play loyalty, ordering and CRM platform for hospitality,
powering the full customer journey across walk-ins, delivery, and click & collect. We already
support 3,000+ venues, including some of the most exciting and fast-growing SME brands like
Honi Poke, Badiani Gelato, Island Poke, Hermanos Coffee or EggSlut to name a few.
We are looking for a dynamic UK General Manager (GM) to lead and grow our UK business. This
role combines strategic leadership, commercial responsibility, and operational management.
The UK GM will be accountable for driving revenue growth, managing and developing the UK
team, ensuring operational excellence, and representing Embargo with our partners, clients, and
investors.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Own full P&L responsibility for the UK business.
- Lead new business acquisition and enterprise sales while supporting upsell and retention of
existing clients.
- Set, track, and deliver ambitious revenue growth targets across new and existing accounts.
- Work directly with the founders on sales strategy, pricing, partnerships, and key enterprise
deals.
- Ensure close alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to maximize pipeline
and conversion.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and grow the UK Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams.
- Foster a high-performance, target-driven culture while ensuring collaboration and professional
development.
- Recruit and onboard top talent as the team scales.
- Lead by example with a hands-on approach to sales and client engagement.
Operations & Execution
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the UK business, ensuring operational efficiency and
scalability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on go-to-market campaigns and inbound lead generation.
- Provide input into product development based on customer feedback and market insights.
- Track KPIs and report performance to the founders and investors.
- Ensure compliance, process excellence, and effective resource allocation across the UK
business.
Strategic Growth
- Shape and execute Embargo’s UK growth strategy, aligning with the global vision.
- Build relationships with strategic partners in the F&B and tech ecosystem.
- Act as Embargo’s ambassador in the UK, representing the company at industry events and with
key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior commercial or management role, ideally in SaaS hospitality tech
or a food & beverage chain.
- Strong track record in leadership and revenue growth.
- Experience managing and scaling teams, with excellent leadership and coaching skills.
- Deep understanding of B2B sales processes, data-driven decision making, and operational
management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
