Job Title: Head of IT

Role Overview:

To define, implement and manage the IT strategy for the Ottolenghi Group in order to set it

up successfully for future growth in a robust and secure manner, creating cost and time

efficiencies in the process.

1. IT strategy and implementation

 Review the current IT infrastructure and systems at Ottolenghi and determine

whether fit for purpose in allowing Ottolenghi to achieve substantial growth.

 Define the IT strategy for the Group such that the IT infrastructure and

systems will allow for future growth, operating in a robust integrated manner,

with minimal downtime and errors and providing meaningful reporting

information.

 Work closely with the sites to ensure that any strategy to implement a new

system or software enhances operational efficiency and guest experience.

 Collaborate across all departments to ensure that all needs are consulted on

and taken into consideration when defining the strategy

 Creating a disaster recovery plan as part of the strategy

 Oversee the implementation of the IT strategy from initiation to completion,

including system upgrades, new technology implementation and network

expansions adhering to budget and timelines. 


2. IT support

 New site project support, liaising with Lifeline and other third parties in

ensuring the successful IT set up at any new site opening.

 Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology suppliers to

ensure quality of service, cost-effectiveness and compliance with service level

agreements. 

 Negotiate with suppliers for hardware and software

 Provide technical support to site staff including troubleshooting issues,

training on new systems and resolving user queries, in conjunction with IT

support company.

 Manage and maintain point-of-sale systems, reservation systems, guest

reservation systems and other hospitality-specific software we operate.

 Manage security for systems, networks, and applications, working with IT

support company to ensure our cybersecurity protects sensitive information.

 Ensure adherence to data privacy laws, industry standards and security

regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI). 


3. IT policies

 Review and update the IT policies for the Group and update our company

wide communication platform All Gravy as appropriate.
